Yes. Joplin Cemetery has a mausoleum with niches available for cremated remains. The board is actively working on a formal niche pricing structure, which is expected to be finalized at an upcoming board meeting.

Standard burials and interments are scheduled Monday through Saturday. Sunday and holiday services are generally not available. Exceptions may be considered on an individual basis — please contact the sexton to discuss your circumstances.

There are several ways to look up burial records:

Joplin Pioneer Cemetery is operated by the Joplin Cemetery Maintenance District, a special taxing district of Ada County, Idaho. The district is governed by an elected board that meets monthly. Sexton Lucas Littlefield manages day-to-day operations and grounds maintenance.

The cemetery grounds are open every day from sunrise to sunset. There is no staffed office on-site. For assistance, contact the sexton by phone.

Flowers and personal tributes are welcome. Please be respectful of neighboring plots. Permanent monuments and markers must be approved by the sexton prior to installation. Contact us to discuss specifics.

The Joplin Cemetery Maintenance District collects property taxes from properties within the district boundary. The district has been collecting taxes since 1958. Service fees also contribute to operations and maintenance.

Cemetery Policies

Service providers are responsible for coordinating with the plot owner or family regarding all monument, vault, and burial requirements. All work must comply with district policies.
